One of the most anticipated events during Miami Swim week this year was Maxim Swimwear runway show at SLS in South Beach.
The casting wasn’t easy. As the models arrived, they took out comp cards and showed them to the client. As we waited in the hallway, girls were called out and given their cards back. Those who didnt hear their names stayed to actually see the client in person. Kinda crazy…
I was pumped to hear that i booked the show. They had 2 fittings to make sure that everything was perfect and we got to meet the new editor of Maxim, Kate Lanphear, who is super cool. We also found out that Maxim was going major rebranding under Lanphear’s supervision. It was so special to be a part of this show and actually a very significant event for the magazine and the industry.

There is nothing more fun than being glammed up and rocking the runway in bikinis with a bunch of other babes. It was super fun to be a part of the first ever show for Robb & Lulu, a colorful Australian brand.
You can get Robb&Lulu bikinis here.
And when you think you’ve done it all over the years of being in this industry, TREATS Magazine partners with Lezard Swimwear and makes you walk skate in bikinis in your figure skates. Growing up in Russia and Canada and spending weekends on the ice skating rink just got in handy, who would have thought? Just shows you that its important to try different things in life cause you never know when your skills might be useful!
Moreover, W Magazine, called the TREATS x Lezard Swim show at Edition Hotel in Miami ‘ one of the best parties of Miami Swim Week 😉 It was definitely the funnest experience!
When i told my friends i was going to South Beach, everyone wished me a great ‘vacation’ and lots of fun…My fun included running between the castings, rubbing shoulders bums against 300 hot models, sweating it like crazy (Miami in July is pretty damn hot) and sleeping for 4 hrs max.
The moment I landed in MIA my phone wouldn’t stop buzzing. I had a bunch of castings, fittings and shoots to do in the next 72 hrs. My hotel room wasn’t ready yet, so i had to get ready in a dark hotel bathroom and hit the road running. It was a lovely day meeting my new Miami agency, CGM; waiting for 3 hrs at the castings for my turn; jumping in the ocean in hopes of refreshing myself and finding out that the water is super hot and all the seaweeds are now stuck to me; and then going to another casting with real ‘beachy hair’ and no ‘bitchy attitude’.
