After having so much fun at WangFest the night before, day 4 started a little painful 🙂 But after getting a wellness shot (ginger/lemon/cayenne pepper), oatmeal and tons of coffee in my system, I ran to watch Hood by Air show. When i looked up traffic, i realized that there is no way that I will make it on time cause streets were jammed. It wasn’t possible to get to the Skylight at Moyniham Station where the show was taking place from where i was by subway. So, i naturally decided to walk…30 mins later, out of breath and ready to give up, i finally made it! Wohoo!
Next on the schedule was Pier 59 studios for Custo Barcelona show. I have to say I was blown away by embroidery and embellishments, colors and cuts of the collection. Every single piece is so spectacular, if i could wear Custo Barcelona every day, trust me , I would 😉
That day a fellow blogger from San Diego, Catherine and I also were lucky to catch the Altuzarra show.
After the shows I finally grabbed lunch (it was pizza on the go) and went back to change for the evening and catch up on social media.
In the evening I met up with my friend and fellow model Joy Corrigan and a crew for drinks at Thompson 60 rooftop. Afterwards, I went to check out Didier Dubot x Julia Roitfeld collaboration at a private event in Mid Manhattan.
p.s. NYFW always falls on 9/11 and you can not help but feel special energy in the air remembering all the victims of 9/11 tragedy. Last year on that day I was at the new World Trade Center buildings for DKNY show. This year i didn’t make it to the WTC but i saw the pojection of Twin Towers from the balcony at the event (photo below) and prayed for all the victims of 9/11 and their families.
