New York City during the Holidays is especially magical! Samuel and I wanted to spend a few days in the city before joining family for Christmas in Long Island. Something about New York that is absolutely crazy is that once you step your foot in Manhattan, its like tornado picks you up. The energy is crazy and the city and people and your life start moving at normal speed x10!
We were secretly hoping for some snow but instead the weather was sunny and just a little bit crispy. So, I left my winter coat at the hotel and instead layered my new favorite sweater from Asilio with Samuel’s jacket. Nothing better than stealing a piece from your boyfriend’s closet :-p
The whole day we explored Manhattan, took a train to Brooklyn, enjoyed Washington Park and watched the sunset with a glass of champagne from the rooftop of Samuel’s friends’ around Union Sq Park. How often do you get to enjoy an obstructed view of the Big Apple? After we took a hot shower, changed and had a shot of tequila, Samuel and I made our way to Gemma @ Bowery Hotel for a delicious dinner! We ended the night at an underground jazz club very late, thanks to being on California time. 3pm in NYC? Well, its only midnight in LA, hell, yeah, lets dance more!
